Heavy thunder & lightning storm Feb. 15-39.
(Had the Sisters’ [sic] to my house to Turkey Dinner Fri  Mar 31-39 [sic])
Sick with Flu. Tue Feb 21-39
Fri. morn. Feb. 24-39. -24 below zero.
Gerald Allen very sick from Sking [sic] accident on
Feb. 19-39.  In hospital week of 21 Mar 39
Mrs. Wallace Mitchell died in Hospital Sun. A.M. Mar. 5-39.
March 8-39 – Wed. very cold day, strong wind
Started painting wing weave room last of Feb or 1st of Mar. -39 [sic]
Started on 4 dys [sic] week of Mar. 21-39, whole mill.
Some of mill 3 or 4 days before, other parts 5 days
Mrs. Elbrige [sic] Staples died in F’ton, Apr. 8-39 Sat P.M.
Easter Sunday Apr. 9-39 snow storm.
