Question:
“I am trying to find out what happened to the James Miller family who lived in the McAdam area in the late 19th and the early 20th century. They seem to have disappeared and I would like to find their descendants. They are listed in the 1901 census District: York County Subdistrict Number I-1.

James Miller (Head) March 20, 1861`
Henrietta Mary Miller (wife) May 2, 1863
Ethel May Miller (daughter) June 14, 1885
Thomas Burton Miller (son) Nov 25, 1886
Wilfrid Harry Miller (Son) Oct 14, 1888
George Edward Miller (Son) Sept 6, 1891
Allen Leslie Miller (Son) May 28, 1893
Cecil Everett Miller (Son) Jan 14, 1895
Alfred Miller (Son) Jan 6, 1897
Walter Raymond Miller (Son) Feb 8, 1901

And in the 1911 Census:
Elvira (Vera) Mabel Miller (Daughter) April, 1902
Laura Mildred Miller (daughter) Dec, 1905
Nina Helena Miller (Daugher) June, 1907

Harry Miller is also listed as an employee (of whom?) in the 1911 Census on McAdam Parish Page 1, Line 22.

Henrietta Mary Miller was born Henrietta Mary Segee to Henry Segee and Elizabeth Anne Gartley Segee (my great-grandmother by a later marriage). So Henrietta was my great-aunt. Henrietta’s father, (my great-grandmother’s second husband), Henry Segee, has also disappeared. Our family has absloutely no information on him.

With such a large family, it is quite likely that at least a few of the descendants of this Miller family are in the York County area. I would like very much to talk to any descendants of this family”
